🔱2. Selection Process
- 1. Draw through fair computerized system– The pilgrims will be selected through an unbiased computer-generated, random, gender-proportional selection process by the Ministry of External Affairs and will be allotted different routes and batches. A group of two persons may give the option to travel together in the same batch at the application stage. Efforts will be made to accommodate such requests as far as possible, subject to the eligibility conditions of each applicant. Each applicant must complete the on-line application.
- 2. Information: After the computerized draw, the selected applicants will be informed through automated message on their registered email ID/mobile number. The updated status can also be known through helpline number 011-23088133.

- 3. Route and batch once allotted to passengers through computerized process will not normally be changed. However, if changes need to be made, the selected passengers can request for change in the batch by providing justification for the change. This change can be made only when vacancies are available. The decision of the Ministry in this matter will be final.
- 4. After the computerized draw, each selected applicant will be required to pay the amount in the bank account designated by Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam (KMVN) or Sikkim Tourism Development Corporation (STDC) before the cut-off date you will have to confirm your participation by depositing the non-refundable confirmation amount as mentioned under ‘Fees and Expenses for Passengers’.
- 5. If the amount is not paid into the account of KMVN/STDC by the cut-off date, such passengers will be automatically removed from the selection list and put on the waiting list of the batch and requests of other passengers as mentioned in para 3 above will be considered.
- 6. Passengers confirmed for a batch will be required to reconfirm their participation in the batch before reaching Delhi for the journey. Reconfirmation has to be done online on the website. Failure to do so may result in their name being struck off from the batch list.
- 7. It is mandatory for the confirmed passengers to report at DHLI on the scheduled date and time as per the itinerary prescribed for the batch. Failure to do so will result in their name being struck off from that batch. It is mandatory for all passengers of each batch to travel and return together.
- 8. Registered/wait listed passengers may also report to DHLI for inclusion in the batch in place of a drop out passenger. Inclusion of name is strictly subject to availability of vacancies arising out of drop out.
- 9. IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS AFTER SELECTION: The selected and confirmed passengers are required to bring the following documents with them while coming to Delhi for the journey.
- (i) Indian passport, valid for at least six (6) months as on 1st September of the current year.
- (ii) Photograph: Colour, passport size (6 copies)
- (iii) Indemnity bond, on non-judicial stamp paper of Rs.100 or such amount as may be locally applicable and attested by a First Class Magistrate or Notary Public.
- (iv) Undertaking, for evacuation by helicopter in case of emergency.
- (v) Letter of Consent for cremation of dead body in case of death in Chinese territory.
- 10. If any of the documents mentioned in Para 9 above are not produced or are not as per the requirements of the current year or are found to have any other deficiencies, the Yatri will not be allowed to travel. The decision of the Ministry in this matter will be final and no representation of any kind will be considered in this regard.
